Abstract: There have been many variables that affect success of online learning. Considering the nature of asynchronous online learning environments, instructors and students may have been exposed to more challenges compared with traditional classroom teaching and learning. In order to create desired outcomes and acquire high-quality understandings about course content, an instructor should be fully prepared in delivering course materials with a lot of expertise and students should be a self-directed learner in an online learning community. Additionally, students can share their ideas and thoughts with interaction and feedback. All participants, then, will be encouraged to inspire each other and promote better understandings on course delivery and higher quality academic achievement. The purpose of this paper is to present key factors that affect successful online learning experience.
