Abstract: This roundtable discussion focuses on research and the experiences of both faculty and students examining the development of teacher leaders through online classes and programs. A review of literature on the proliferation and effectiveness of online learning and the application of this research on the burgeoning need for developing leaders in education is at the heart of this discussion. A hands-on demonstration illustrates how online delivery creates and motivates a learning community around issues in teacher leadership. Perspectives of both students participating in the program as well as professors will promote discourse among the presenters and audience about effectiveness in using technology to create teacher leaders for the future.
