Abstract: This brief paper presents preliminary results of a course redesign project conducted in the Department of Technology at Elizabeth City State University. The project supported the faculty member to redesign six courses offered in the Industrial Technology and Engineering Technology programs within the department. The redesigned courses, aimed at providing enriching personalized learning experience, integrated dynamic PowerPoint lecture slides, online interactive supplemental material, video lectures, interactive activities/puzzles, flash-based animations, simulations, and collaborative laboratory exercises. The data to evaluate the impact of course redesign project was collected through student surveys and topic-wise pre-test and post-tests. The course redesign strategy, student experiences, and selected preliminary results are discussed in this paper.
