Abstract: This paper describes the use of electronic portfolios for student and program evaluation within a graduate education program. Issues arising from having multiple purposes as well as having students choose the artifacts for inclusion under each goal are discussed. A point of emphasis is the advantage gained from having students provide a reflective rationale for each artifact in terms of the evidence the artifacts provides for arguing that the goal has been met.
