Abstract: In 2010, the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) proposed a new model for the preparation of teacher candidates. This new model shatters an century old tradition of preparation, for it proposes that the majority of teacher education occur in K-12 schools with candidates working under the direct supervision of classroom teachers. This is a new model of teacher education, and it seems well to look at how other professions with long-standing traditions of clinical preparation utilize technology in the evaluation of their students.
