Abstract: This paper makes the case for a “global” approach to project-based learning (PBL[g]) in which a key component is the development of student global competence mediated by ongoing integration of learning technologies. This article offers an overview of the literature, and rationale for equipping pre service teachers with the global knowledge, skills and digital literacies necessary to engage students with the world.
