Share Paper: Engaging Undergraduates with Service-Learning IT Courses

Abstract: Successful outcomes and lessons learned of service-learning IT courses will be discussed. Case studies of how curriculum has provided strong foundations for meaningful win-win relationships with community partners while reducing the digital divide, as well as educating students about social responsibilities and justice for those less fortunate will be provided. Examples of student projects and course activities will be illustrated. Perspectives of faculty, students, and community partners will be demonstrated via video clips highlighting student activities.
