Abstract: It is becoming increasingly recognized that students need new skills if they are to be effective members of the 21st century globalized world. Among these skills are a familiarity with technology, a global and world language competency, ability to work in collaborative teams and enhanced ability to read and write effectively and clearly. If these skills are to be an integral part of classroom curriculum and activities, educators need to be equally skilled at imparting them to our students. This poster session will share dissertation research on the effectiveness of iEARN's online professional development, utilizing web 2.0 tools to share thoughts of educators in the US and around the world.
