Abstract: A study was conducted on a graduate level summer writing workshop using a qualitative case study method to identify themes through interviews, participant observations, and writing samples. Findings indicate that integrating technology into a writing workshop is a gradual process and a conversation between participants and the writing project site. Technology content should be chosen by the participant interests and coincide with their existing writing skills. Time allotted in the schedule for technological integration needs to be spaced throughout the workshop to allow for support and practice time to integrate new digital storytelling methods into teaching.
