Share Paper: Using Graduate Education to Teach Technology Integration Leadership Behaviors

Abstract: This paper is a report of a qualitative study conducted on a Master’s degree program focusing on teacher leadership. The study consisted of 30 teacher-leaders, from six school districts in the state of Florida. The teacher-leaders were chosen for the program because of their leadership potential. The practical use of Web 2.0 technology was heavily integrated into the program. Upon the conclusion of the program, the teacher-leaders’ technology usage was compared to other teachers in Florida. This comparison revealed that the teacher-leaders were using technology in a more advanced manner that included leadership behaviors. These findings support three conclusions. First, ...
