Abstract: This panel will focus on technology applications being used for K12 distance education. Applications discussed will include: web conferencing, online and virtual schools, videoconferencing, and virtual environments. A highly qualified panel of experts will include:Mr. Mike Lay, Retired K12 educator and Education Advocate for PCS Dr. Kecia Ray, Executive Director of Instructional Technology, Metro Nashville Schools Mr. Scott Merrick, Virtual Learning Curriculum Specialist for Metro Nashville SchoolsDr. Kathy Hayden, Associate Professor, California State University. Led by analyst and consultant, Jan Zanetis, of Wainhouse Research, the panel will highlight various products and platforms and provide insights on how they are best utilized in a K12 setting.
