Abstract: The long term objective of this project is to improve middle school students’ mastery of the Mathematics Career and College Readiness Standards (CCRS) through the design, development, and implementation of multimedia instructional modules for middle school mathematics classrooms. The specific aim is to provide tools and resources to middle school mathematics teachers through professional development in the use of multimedia instructional modules for teaching mathematics. Using Web 2.0 tools readily available on the Internet multimedia modules are being developed demonstrating the teaching of specific mathematics concepts. Modules are made available to teachers through a publically accessible website.
