Abstract: Video conferencing is becoming commonplace in today’s academic environment. Non-traditional learners in distance-learning programs and alternative teacher training programs are among those most affected. Educators trained in the use of traditional methods of instruction are called upon to deliver instruction to these learners using video conferencing, a non-traditional teaching method. This presentation is aimed at strategies that will increase the likelihood of successfully using video conferencing to support student learning in alternative teacher training and distance learning programs.
