Abstract: Physics Education Technology (PhET) group has devised computer simulations java applets on various science phenomena, which include various concepts on Quantum Mechanics. These have been distributed freely on the internet for benefit of physics educators and students. These simulations feature several visualization tools to help students build mental models and perceptions about quantum mechanics. These visualizations help the students to establish connections to everyday life, and efficient calculations so students can focus on the concepts rather than the math. The authors have developed Computer Assisted Instructional Material (CAIM) around the PhET simulation of quantum tunneling for the Post-Graduate Physics students. ...
