Abstract: The performance of previous students in a second year course in a Bachelor of Engineering programme in Nigeria revealed a consistently high failure rate. The causes were attributed to a variety of suspected factors, including large class sizes, paucity of infrastructural facilities, passive learning and overdependence on lecturers. Technology-Enhanced Learning (TEL) was explored as a means of overcoming these challenges. A web-based courseware was designed, implemented and evaluated in student groups.
