Abstract: Studying in online learning environment requires a different set of skills as students are expected to take ownership of the learning process, hence, self-regulated learning (SRL) strategy is becoming increasingly important. This study identified the effective SRL, and investigated the correlation between demographic information and SRL strategy. Thirty-one Thai students who enrolled in online courses in the US participated in the SRL online survey based on Pintrich & Groot’s MSLQ. Descriptive and inferential statistics were employed in this study. Three effective SRL components were illustrated as vital strategies in online learning environments. MANOVA revealed the effect of Internet experiences / Hybrid course experiences were positively significant; indicated that the greater experience of Internet and Hybrid course, the higher level of Personal SRL. Additionally, the same results indicated that students who greater Internet using, tend to be higher level in Behavioral SRL.
