Abstract: This paper describes the efforts of two teacher educators striving to provide quality opportunities for learning both content and pedagogy to elementary preservice teachers in hybrid mathematics content and methods courses. The authors provide a discussion of the limited literature on the topic; a potential model for instructors to follow in designing their courses; and, a discussion on how the authors have incorporated this model in their courses.
