Abstract: This paper is a report on the implementation and evaluation of a teachers’ in-service training program for the use of ICT (Information and Communication Technology) in school. We focused on teachers as ICT leaders for the use of ICT in each school, and designed and implemented a teachers’ training program to help the ICT leaders encourage other teachers’ use of ICT in their own schools. We investigated the ICT leaders’ consciousness of the use of ICT and interviewed some ICT leaders. The results showed that this training program was useful in getting the ICT leaders to understand the need for the use of ICT and generating motivation to promote its use in their schools. It was clear that the ICT leaders were able to realize their role by making a concrete plan. Also, the ICT leaders who promoted the use of ICT thought this training program beneficial.
