Abstract: Cloud computing is the newest technological tool available to educators and students. Harrison (2009) defines “cloud computing, in a nutshell, is a way to provide computer applications to users without the need for the users to purchase, install, or support software on their local computers and/or servers” (p.1). There are three different areas of cloud computing: (a) Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS); (b) Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS); and (c) Software-as-a-Service (SaaS). With these services the software and data used and generated are both hosted and stored remotely.
