Abstract: This paper describes the results of a study to determine the perceptions of presidents of small colleges related to technology integration issues at their institutions. The study used a mixed methods approach including an online survey and follow up interviews. The main findings of the study include that the presidents who responded to the survey had an overwhelmingly positive opinion of technology’s role in higher education, that funding and faculty concerns were viewed as major barriers to technology integration, and that important differences of opinion existed on the value of totally online degree programs.
