Abstract: Currently mathematics students in our public schools are underperforming when compared to other industrialized nations. It is often the case in mathematics classrooms that students learn formulas and theorems with little framework to support the idea behind those topics. This can leave students with a knowledge that lacks the depth required for true understanding. Technology can serve to support student learning by providing visual aids and tools that allow the student to make meaningful discoveries about the subject. A program called GeoGebra can be integrated into secondary math classrooms as a means to support student learning and improve student understanding.
