Abstract: This paper contains a case study involving mobile technology and its implications for student learning. The iPad is examined through the lens of Kolb’s (1984) Experiential Learning Model to better understand 21st century student engagement via mobile technology. A discussion of how iPad technology promotes experiential learning via a pilot study focusing on two applications (apps; AudioMemos and SpeakIt!) is included. Additional information regarding classroom implications, future research and teacher education preparation considerations is provided.
