Abstract: Geocaching is an exciting and effective way to integrate education with the great outdoors. Using signals from Global Positioning System (GPS) satellites and handheld receivers, geocachers explore the world around them in search of hidden treasures. The appeal of geocaching includes exercise, travel, experiencing the outdoors, and the thrill of finding hidden objects. As the number of geocachers continues to grow worldwide, the ability to enhance education through geocaching is compelling. By combining technology and content matter with the natural environment, educators can provide a captivating experience for students.
