Abstract: Use of roles in online discussions were analyzed over a semester long graduate course. There is scant literature that describes these types of details in online discussions. More literature is needed and this paper highlights this need for more literature that can help with the development and delivery of online discussions in hybrid courses or fully online courses, particularly when we are seeing a push for more online courses.
