Abstract: Towson’s College of Education developed a faculty professional development lab to support the faculty’s authentic integration of technology. The lab was launched in direct response to faculty concerns about lack of competency with emerging K-12 classroom technologies, such as interactive whiteboards. Teacher interns were expected to demonstrate fluency with such technologies in their student teaching placements, but faculty members were not modeling effective teaching using such tools.
