Abstract: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of Fast ForWord® reading program in a school district in southern Louisiana based on level one and level two of Kirkpatrick’s four-level evaluation model. The study participants were thirty-two fourth grade students selected from three schools in the school district, including 18 African American, 4 Caucasian, and 10 Hispanic. A student attitude survey was administered to conduct the level one evaluation: students’ attitude toward the reading lesson after using Fast ForWord®, computer based reading program.
