Abstract: Students created a Facebook avatar to represent their class in an effort to determine the effects of social networking on personal identity and privacy. By using the avatar, students could “voice” any idea anonymously and watch for responses from the avatar’s “friends.” Course was designed to teach students potential threats to personal identity and privacy.
