Abstract: This paper is intended to report on the process of implementing a video conference tool through Internet 2 for a clinician training session that was delivered from the Physical therapy program at a middle Atlantic university to the remote clinicians at three other institutions across the country. The adoption of Polycom and Internet 2 by the faculty is addressed along with the support from the university library and an external organization. Results, challenges encountered, and faculty’s perspectives of using Polycom are illustrated. The successful implementation in this case highlights the potentials of using video conferencing tools for future clinician educational trainings in the area of Health Science as well as the effectiveness of utilizing Internet 2 for collaboration among academic institutions in higher education.
