Abstract: This study aims to determine the relationships between pre-service teacher beliefs and factors influencing they read educational event news on the Internet. A sample of 37 pre-service teachers, who enrolled in a school crisis event course of 18 weeks, was invited to fill out a questionnaire regarding teacher beliefs at the first week and the 18th week of a semester respectively. Moreover, a measurement regarding credibility on online news and an assessment related to meaning inference of online news were developed and employed to collect pre-service teachers’ perceptions on reading educational event news on the Internet.
