Abstract: Social networking media link people globally and hold immense potential for the enhancement of teaching and learning, especially in graduate business education. This paper defines social networking and provides a framework for understanding the six categories of social media. It also describes how Facebook was integrated into a graduate business course taught at a regional campus of a Midwestern land grant university. Lastly, it summarizes the results of a survey that designed to assess the effectiveness of Facebook usage in the course.
