Abstract: WebQuests are activities based on set of Web-based resources that follow a predictable format and they have been applied widely in educational context at all levels. This paper focuses on implementation of the inquiry-oriented activity WebQuests in teaching cultural Issues in ESL in China to shift teachers roles as dominators or authorities into guides or facilitators to arouse students interests and enthusiasm for learning in the teaching process.After planning, designing and using it with students the authors conducted a survey which indicates that the WebQuests has positive and encouraging effects on teaching cultural issues in ESL.The survey also shows that ...
