Abstract: The use of Wikis as a tool in education is not new for many technology users including preservice teachers. . We decided to use the tool to help secondary mathematics and science preservice teachers demonstrate leadership and professional development skills as they learned to align their instruction to the Common Core Standards and/or North Carolina Essential Standards. Our use of this technology tool (wiki) involved creating a class space where students uploaded their products and then shared and provided feedback on each other’s work. We found that this tool provided a new approach to viewing students’ artifacts and for sharing resources for aligning the standards with partnership teachers . The class space was easy to use and remains accessible for students. This presentation will focus on the features of the leadership product tool created on the Wiki space and its role in building leadership skills.
