“How-to” Instructional Videos in an Online Teacher-Development Course: Following Johnson and Aragon's Principles for Online Learning Environments

Abstract: The presentation has two major focuses: 1.Techniques for creating “how-to” (hands-on) instructional videos for an online professional development course and 2. Recommendations for a better pedagogy of instructional videos based on the feedback from the participant teachers and on Johnson and Aragon’s principles. Optimal length of videos, software and hardware for their production and ways to deliver the videos online are discussed.
