Technology affords many opportunities to enrich the language arts curriculum and instruction that prepares students to be literate citizens of the 21st century. As the American classroom becomes more and more diverse with struggling readers and writers, English language learners and students with disabilities it is necessary to examine research-based best practices for context for effective instruction in reading, writing, listening and communication.
