Abstract: This best practice is on the collaboration of educational technology preservice teachers and local teachers in his or her field. This collaboration emphasizes the importance of preparing preservice teachers to foster digital citizenship in their students. Many first year teachers are expected to be familiar with and be experts at integrating technology into the curriculum to foster student achievement and motivation. Technology is rapidly changing, more accessible, and more motivating to students of this digital age.
