Abstract: Software as a Service (SaaS) is a new model of software on demand that harnesses the power of Cloud computing to provide seamless, 24 X 7 X 365 computing to organizations through the Internet. Housed on remote servers, this scalable technology is capable of hosting multiple tenants, while providing customized services that are continually updated. Educational applications include hosting email and web services and various management systems for learning and content. Limitations such as data rights and security concerns are outweighed by the limitless possibilities that such robust, large scale, cost-effective computing can offer.
