Abstract: Online graduate level courses in education often require internships for the learners. The required hours for the internship apply to those seeking a teaching license or administrator certification. Students are often required to have a licensed, certified mentor on site as part of the internship. The mentor and university instructor/supervisor work together to assess and evaluate the student’s internship. However, when the student is earning a degree online, the online university instructor does not make a site visit to meet with the internship mentor as with traditional brick and mortar colleges.
