Abstract: All NCATE accredited Teacher Preparation Units must have an assessment system that provides an opportunity to regularly collect and analyze candidate performance data, and to use that data in a systematic way to bring about program improvements. To help accomplish this expectation, and to achieve the intended outcome of meeting standard Two at the target level, our Unit developed the Yearly Assessment System Update (YASU) and Data Analysis Report (DAR). This paper will describe the year-long YASU and DAR process, the structure of the report, and provide some information gleaned from recent program reports, related to desired program improvements.
