Abstract: The relationship between knowledge, learning and teaching has long been debated. Whether technology can teach and facilitate learning and the acquisition of knowledge depends on how one views teaching and learning. The use of technology in the classroom requires educators to assess long held beliefs about pedagogy and the role of teachers and students. This paper explores the meaning of teaching, learning and knowledge and the role of technology in this relationship. It provides insights into how the use of technology can influence new ways of teaching, learning and the acquisition of knowledge.
