Leveraging Student to Student Interactions to Increase Motivation and Engagement in Online Classrooms: An Action Research Case Study"
Abstract: In this session, we will discuss a remote course that emanated from India that was a part of an ongoing development of the technology supporting the use of live broadcasts from remote regions into local classrooms. We discovered that the informal, impromptu use of the chat widget took on a life of its own. We will discuss our findings and relate how we learned to integrate chat rooms in all of our online courses.
