Share Paper: Teacher Online/Onsite Collaboration in the Knowledge Building International Project

Abstract: This paper describes teacher collaboration enabled by digital platforms. The Knowledge Building International Project (KBIP 2007-2014) operates on the basis of locally based networks of innovation distributed around the globe. Pedagogical and research activities are conducted within local university-school-government partnerships connected to one another. One highlight each year is a three-day onsite summer institute conducted in one of the participating countries, and focusing on a local environmental issue.
