Abstract: “Teaching Technology and Engaging Students with 21st Century Learning” is the modern rallying call for educators and learning technologists; however, there are warnings that should be acknowledged as technology can be over-used and produce detrimental effects. This paper seeks to inform educators about the possible pitfalls that surround technology’s unstoppable march forward and the way it may alter the development, function, and interpretation of information in young minds. It seeks to acknowledge that technology in and of itself may not be a simple panacea to our educational future.
