Abstract: Abstract: Massive open online courses (MOOCs) are a significant part of most recent conversations about education and the potential role of technology in teaching and learning. Because MOOCs are a relatively new way of educating there is very little research in the post-secondary MOOC. The purpose of this study was to examine a cMOOC created for teachers, preservice teachers, and high school students. Over 800 participants were enrolled in the MOOC. This study examined the teachers’ belief structures, motivation, learning strategies, and perceptions of learning as related to their participation in the MOOC.
