Abstract: Teaching any facet of communications and media presents a myriad of challenges for college professors. These challenges have always been the case but changes in technology have stimulated a renewed debate in how pedagogy can be adjusted to reach today’s students. Often time’s traditional approaches are inadequate given the level of technological sophistication brought to the classroom by today’s students. Many of the undergraduates come to higher education lacking the background necessary to think critically, creatively and work in group settings. They are stronger at conduit than content.
