Abstract: Facilitating preservice teachers’ development of the knowledge needed to successfully utilize technology in the elementary classroom, apply that knowledge to practical lesson design, and prepare for continued career-long professional learning was the focus for this authentic learning experience and study. Eight-six preservice teachers enrolled in four sections of a technology integration course at a large southeastern university participated. Preliminary data analysis suggests that the preservice teachers had difficulty clearly recognizing the mathematics integration in this learning experience, but did see a strong connection to language arts.
