Share Paper: Facilitating the Development of Critical Thinking in Undergraduate Students using Technology Enhanced Learning Environments

Abstract: The following paper will discuss a research study currently in progress to determine beneficial strategies to support the development of critical thinking in undergraduate students. Critical thinking will be facilitated using technology enhanced learning environments as instructional platforms in face-to-face and online settings. A constructivist collaborative inquiry approach will be exercised to cultivate the development of critical thinking, while creating supportive technology enhanced learning environments with a classroom response system and an online discussion forum.
