The Acceptance of Online Virtual Touring Technology for Cultural Tourism Education
Abstract: Tourism and information technology are the two most dynamic motivators of the emerging global economy. Over the past few decades, the Internet has brought drastic changes to society and the tourism industry has strongly affected as well. The purpose of this study is to construct an online virtual touring platform for cultural tourism education and to investigate its learning effectiveness. This study applies the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT) model to explain how individual differences affect the use of technology. A pre-and-posttest was designed to investigate student learning. The participants were 399 students from a technological university. The results indicated their learning effectiveness and technology acceptance.
