Abstract: 3D printing is becoming more and more accessible to schools, but there is little research for teacher educators to justify enacting programs that include 3D printing. This roundtable discussion will present preliminary results of an initial inquiry of preservice secondary science teachers using a 3D printer, and begin a discussion regarding the best practices and possible research agenda regarding 3D printing in teacher education.
