Incorporating New Technologies to Change Teacher Education: The Case of a Centralized Educational System

Abstract: The current study aims to explore the potential of blogs as efficient learning environments for in-service educators within the context of continuing professional development (CPD). Secondly, it seeks to validate the effectiveness of a developed framework that intends to examine blogging as a problem solving process by employing a particular methodological approach. A number of 20 postgraduate students from the Department of Primary Education participated in the current research study. The paper reveals the great potential of blogging in giving voice to educators in providing ideas and guidelines on how to design, organize and deliver an effective and successful professional development courses on how to integrate technology as a tool.
