Abstract: There is a global need for strong science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) skills. Therefore it is imperative to engage girls in STEM in the classroom and in future careers. While there has been progress in the engagement of women and girls in STEM, they are still significantly under-represented in STEM careers. Girls often view science and math as subjects for boys even while they excel in the subjects. We need to find ways to interest and engage girls in STEM at an early age and sustain the engagement throughout their K-12 years. There are many websites that can be used to interest and engage girls in STEM.
